2011 Top Trends-Punk

Hey everyone! This is part three of my 2011 fashion trend forecast. As military is fading out two trends are filling it's place. Biker-Chic and Punk. The main vision of punk is rebellion, controversy and the element of shock. The key is to not take it over the top and look costumey. The problem with punk is that it's been in the fashion circle for a while now, lessening the element of shock, when everyones doing it. That's why this year, punk is going to become less of a theme and more of an accessory. Mixing punk items with other trends. A big thing for punk is STUDS! You just have to be careful not to overdo the studs. Combat boots are another punk accessory. They're very similar, therefore interchangeable with motorcycle boots.A big punk icon is safety pins. They're all over the place. They decorate clothing items. They're turned into jewelry... etc. So overall the key to punk is to mix in little pieces, not to go over the top. Blogspot finally fixed it's picture adding problem so I have the pictures below. I'll talk to you soon!

2011 Top Trends-Biker Chic

Hey everyone! Here is the second post of my fashion countdown to 2011! A trend to watch is biker fashion. As military chic fades, the biker trend is here to replace. The main ideas of the trend are motorcycle jackets, motorcycle pants, and motorcycle boots. The key piece, the motorcycle jacket, is now springing up in a multitude of colors, including metallic silvers and two-toned leather. Designers have also added zipper sleeves and quilting to the mix. Next in line are the leather pants. These are not your average skin tight, black leggings. These are decked out with mesh side-panels, exposed zippers, quilting, padding,  and neutral colors. An alternative to the leather pants is the neo-mod leather skirt (by Burberry.) Completed with quilting detail and all. And last but certainly not least, the boots. They have been circulating the fashion world for some time now, which means they're all over the place, all looking average. So i suggest finding a statement pair quickly! I added some pictures of the Burberry collection to give you an idea. I'll talk to you soon with new 2011 trends!

2011 Top Trends- 70's Glamour

Hey everyone! As the New Year is coming up I decided to talk about the hot trends coming with 2011! This will be in a series of posts up until tomorrow at midnight! I'm going to start by talking about 70's glamour. This is a variation of the famous boho look of the 70's that has been turned into a more sophisticated, elegant, glamorous trend. This includes adding floppy hats, exotic jewels, and high platforms. During the day, the trend is completely different. It includes voluminous silhouettes, earthy color palettes, belted, high-waisted, wide leg pants, silk/satin bow blouses, roll neck sweaters (tucked in, a layered with necklaces or a vest), hot pants and jumpsuits. At night, you might want high sheen fabrics with metallic threads, a ruffled neckline under a brocade blazer or tuxedo jacket, and long, slinky gowns with draping, low necklines or dress slits to get the 70's look. Of course you can't go without accessories! 70's inspired embellishments include leather satchels(day) or small long strapped bag(night), statement belts, thigh-high boots, lots of jewelry! (tons of rings, bold stones, piles of bangles, long pendant necklaces, & strings of beads.) Hairstyles include sleek, longer bobs, lots of bouncy curls, and long flowing hair. I added some pictures, I hope this helps! I'll see you soon with my next 2011 trend!

Name Tags? Bag Tags?

Hey everyone! So I'm here today to talk about these tag bracelets are super in. I can't remember what their called though! If you know what I'm talking about leave a comment because I'd love to finally know! They're a silver chain bracelet, and in the middle is a silver rectangle with whatever on it. I have one from my nut allergy that I use to have to wear when I was little so teachers & parents or whatever know I'm allergic to nuts. On the back was my home phone number. All the prints in red. It's just really cool, and my new thing is stacking bracelets so this is one of my main components in my stacking but that's another post. I'd post a picture of it but all the pictures I've taken of it, you can't even tell what it is because the camera reflects in the silver. So hopefully you get the point of what I'm trying to explain, and go find yourself one! If I ever get a good picture I'll post it! Tata for now!
